Constructivist learning approach in science teaching

In this article it is said that the constructivism is connected with the construction the information rather than acquiring it. This means, in my opinion, as a science teacher we must prompt pupils to produce their own product by take them into the experimental exercises. They must be active in lessons and discuss the reasons. Their demostrations of work in progress will explain us how they construct the information and how they use it . So planning activities in this way, provide them to use high level thinking skills and show them own creativness.

Question:

We know that portfolios or other constructivist methods need great time and students attain the results quickly. So what will we do when the  students bored in this process?
Constructivist Learning Approach İn Science Teaching
Constructivist learning applications predict a rich and interactive learning environment which supplies pupil requires to reach the knowledge , get and analize it arrange and use it in order to solve the problems by the  way of cooperative learning activities.İn the learning process pupil is expected to his own product by searching in constractivism the teacher didnt give any prepared knowledge the pupils The teacher encouraged the pupilsby talking them and giving reward  to cause them to ask question each other and doing research the teacher guided them when the pupils need

Questions
1 How the teacher organize informaition in constractivism
2 What is the influence using constactivist learning at different students

The New Science Of Lerarning
The article said that When student'sgain a deeper conceptual understanding they learn facts and proceduresin a much more useful and profound way that transfers to real word setting Students only learn this gain by actively participatingin their own learning And knowing is a process that involves the person, the tools and other people in the environment and activities in whichthat knowing is being applied

Questions:

1 How a studunt influence other students in the learning process
2 How can computers use in the learning activity
article mentioned in the constructivist approach is more successful than the traditional approach. Structured classes are valid within the scope of the training to be more successful science lesson, but how and how much of a constructivist approach can be applied in each class? Traditional teachers how to constructivist approach may be more efficient? I really can pass the class?

Constructivist Learning Approach in Science Teaching

Constructivist learning approach is a pupil-centered . Constructivist learning approach has been applied in eigteenth century . Giambattista Vico, Bruner, Piaget, von Glasserfeld and Vyogotsky are whale at this field. Giambattista Vico said that one only knows something if one can explain it. Constructivist processes are prior knowledge ,real and authentic problems , constructivist curriculum, cognitive conflict and social context, constructivist assesment and the teacher's role in education. In constructivist learning and teaching, knowledge mustn't give directly from teacher to studets. Students must obtain knowledge him/herself as researching or taking-giving information etc. Teacher/Instructor is a coach , analyzer and guide. Students/Pupils who cannot be obtain knowledge and evaluate him/herself. Pupils have interpretations about unit, problem, theme or something like that. The learning environment has an active role in constructivist approach. My question:              - Who arrange the learning environment, pupils or teachers? And why?
                                                  - If pupils prior knowledge or experiences are wrong or incomplete how   can we fix it ?
-How much clues could we give to pupils in constructivist learning?
-How much  be independent must pupils in classroom?

Opinions about the article “CONSTRUCTIVIST LEARNING APPROACH IN SCIENCE TEACHING”

The differences between constructivist learning and conventional approach is defined in this article. The research had done to check the compatibility of the theses stated in article. And the results of that research shows that there is a lot of differences between the these approaches. But in my opinion the research is not performed with “calibrated” instruments. For example test group and the control group is not accustomed to constructivist learning approach environment and they probably act or pay more attention because of the “unusual” environment so it would be better if the experiment is done with early class. Also the teacher should be chosen between more “inexperienced” or in another word young which has less prejudices. By this way results will be more close to realty. As stated in passage the questions are clear;

      1)   What if the students would be younger or in early class, is the result will be same or not?

      2)  Which qualification must have the teacher, participated in this resource, for objectivity.

CONSTRUCTIVIST LEARNING APPROACH IN SCIENCE TEACHİNG

The article compared structuralist classes with traditional classes. As a result of the research; students are passive in traditional classrooms and teachers are transmitting in this classrooms, students work alone. On the other hand structured approach;activities should be prepared as student centered, teachers need to act as expert quide.I agree this idea in structured classes results are very important than the process.
Consructivist learning approach practises were more effective in teaching.Constructivism is not memorizing or transfering information,it is about thinking and analyzing. It is quided by the teachers.

QUESTIONS: 1-How are the traditional classses changed with structured classes?
2-How should teachers be trained for the structured training?

CONSTRUCTIVIST LEARNING APPROACH IN SCIENCE TEACHING

Constructivism which has different parts in itself thinkable a complex method of teaching. Constructivist approach was formed as a result of the merger of philosophy, sociology, antropology ,cognitive psychology and education. Thanks to constructivist approach , students have increasing willingness which became to learning  and is proved retention of learned information.
Although the meaning of constructivism varies according to one's perspective, constructivism generally stated that same thing. Students adopt information they are provided in combination with their own knowledge.
I would like to add that " In this instance don't come into mind that teachers' task given to students. On the contrary , teachers should make further effort according to the traditional approach. Teachers have to make  a lot of duties such as  organize information in accordance with the interests of students." Also  students , this informations must be associated with their previous data.
In this article , Demirci declared that a study had be done by Şengül in 2006. Besides this study , Demirci also mentions studies that have been made previously. As a result of these studies , efforts for constructivism were obtained similar result. And  if parallel efforts are made , similar results will be obtained.
  I wonder these questions :
1 - )  Why Demirci didn't mentioned that in constructivism, teachers should make further effort according to the traditional approach ?
2 - )  Demirci said that " Teacher of the experimental group was educated on how the science education is treated with constructivistlearning approach before the application." But , Why she isn't explain that how this education is done ?
3 - )  What problems were encountered in this study ?
This article constructivist learning approach to the teaching of science course with traditional learning approach explores the impact on student achievement and lasting learning. Details of the study before they are given information about the constructivist approach to learning. Scientists interested in the opinions of a constructivist approach is described. Constructivist approach in science education in recent years, is one of the accepted approaches. Constructivist approach to learning is correlated with prior knowledge of knowledge re-creation of knowledge there. Constructivist approach to high-level skills in the process of learning, creativity, and collaboration are created using the product. Constructivism learning by doing is important. The survey article, the experimental group and the control group were selected. Teachers have been trained on constructivism, the teacher in the experimental group and the control group, the constructivist approach processed using traditional methods course. Control group pre-test and post-test experimental design used in this context, the experimental groups were equivalent to the pre-test data obtained from the two groups. The final test after training with the constructivist approach to teaching has been successful in the experimental group than the control group. Constructivist approach to learning achievement and learning retention was greater in the experimental group used. I think today science teachers to increase student success and retention classes to handle the constructivist learning approach course. The teacher is not giving you the information that must guide the guiding access to knowledge.
questions:
1. What is the place of constructivist education in the Turkish educational system today?
2. Why is difficult for teachers to implement a constructivist approach to education?

Constructivist Learning Approach in Science Teaching

This article indicates that while there were theories about education , nowadays the most widely accepted one is constructivism,.There are views about constructivism, the most important of which belongs to Piaget, Vygotsky, Glaserfeld etc. The reasons why constructivism is widely accepted alll around the world are as follows:
-It’s student-centered
-Teacher is the guide in the classroom and helps students assist in many ways.
-The student’s primary knowledge is worth
-The students acquire the knowledge through real world rather than coursebooks
-Rather than learning individually, learning happens with the help of collaboration.
It is stated in the article that there were two groups ,one of them learning with constructivism and the other one learning conventional training . The credibility of the test was of 0,89 percentage. It can be concluded that constructivism has a great impact on the students making them succesfull and consistent.
1)Isn’t it an issue that the students learning constructivism may come across with problems while learning collaboratively?
2)In which theory should teacher work more, conventional training or constructivism?

The New Science Of Learning

According to the article created by Sawyer, there was a vital issue which couldn’t be solved until the first quarter of 20. Century. It was about how children could learn the knowledge and how to teach it.With the improvements in industry and economy,it fundamentally affected the system of education. After 1950s, these researchers in this field increased. The most remarkable  study ,was carried out by Jean Piaget ,who was the father of constructivism. Then, Skinner made a study about educational technology.Another important research was the Vygotsky’s which was related with scaffolding. The common goal of these studies were  primarily the good aim and aplly it in the real life of students.
My questions are :
1)Why is the collaboration important in classrooms?
2)Why couldn’t the scientists agree with each other in education?

Construstivist Learning Approach in Science Teaching

This research shows how constructivist learning approach makes students succesful and their studies good. This method makes learning stable. Conventional method is observed that the previous knowledge of students effects negatively.

Questions:
1) Traditional teaching have an effect to decrease lose student previous knowledge?
2) If this method had been used in crowded classes did the result affect by this?
