  3. case base reasoning (CBR) is discussed in this chapter. cbr focuses on learning from experiences of self or the experiences of others. the best learning occurs in context of trying to achive certain goals of studetns interest.. for students to learn from their experiences, they need to interpret their experiences so as to keep them as clear cases in their memory. . also learners can best learn from their mistakes and expectations failures if they get immediate feedback so that they have a way to recognize their errors and expectation failures and if they can explain why the errors and expectations failures occured and what they should have done differently. moreverr, experiences of students are kept in case libraries for the ones coming after them.

  4. in this chapter, J.L. Kolodner tells the story of case-based reasoning's contributions to learning sciences. Researchers had began to use the principles of case-based reasoning to design learning environments, including adult education, museums,K-12 classrooms and undergraduate education.
